Veganuary is a great way to start your journey to a more conscious and compassionate life, where you can do something positive for humanity, our home and those who share it with us. We at The Fry Family Food Co. are committed to crafting plant-based meat with love, to make it easier for people to change what they eat, because ultimately change begins on our plates and at our dining room tables. A plant-based diet is naturally cholesterol free! This means you could lower your risk of heart disease by going plant-based for January.
It requires more than 15 000 liters of water per day to produce food for a typical meat-eater but only 1100 liters of water to produce food for a typical vegan.
That’s a whopping 13 900 litres less per day which is equivalent to 92 showers!
You won’t miss out on getting your protein. There are many different quality plant-based sources of protein including peanut butter, beans and lentils, meat alternatives, spinach and dairy alternatives. So you can still pump iron at the gym and build just as much (if not more) muscle mass while on a plant-based diet.
