A plant-based diet is naturally cholesterol free! This means you could lower your risk of heart disease by going plant-based for January.

Water

It requires more than 15 000 liters of water per day to produce food for a typical meat-eater but only 1100 liters of water to produce food for a typical vegan.

That’s a whopping 13 900 litres less per day which is equivalent to 92 showers!

You won’t miss out on getting your protein. There are many different quality plant-based sources of protein including peanut butter, beans and lentils, meat alternatives, spinach and dairy alternatives. So you can still pump iron at the gym and build just as much (if not more) muscle mass while on a plant-based diet.
